10 reasons to choose for a stay at The Dana On Mission Bay 

1. The hotel is easily accessible. Highways 5 and 8 intersect around the corner from The Dana, so you always get to the hotel very quickly. No complicated roads or one-way traffic.
2. The Dana is located in a lovely quiet location on a headland by the water. You can take a lovely walk there and watch the sunset.
3. Sea World is next to this hotel. A few minutes by car and you are there.
4. You are also within a few minutes drive to Mission Beach, a great beach with good parking, nearby stores and restaurants (including a Starbucks). There are usually high waves here. Bodyboarding goes very well then, too. There is a hiking/biking trail from the tip of Mission Beach all the way to La Jolla. Nice to rent a bike sometime and ride along the beach!
5. It is one straight road and only a 10-minute drive to our favorite restaurant: The Cheesecake Factory. This restaurant is situated in Fashion Valley Mall, a beautiful mall with very expensive brands like Dior, Prada and Gucci, as well as Zara and H&M. Not to mention the big chains like Bloomingdale's, JC Penney and Macy's.
6. You can rent bikes, canoes, boats and jet skis at The Dana. The marina is near the hotel. You can get right on the water. As you can see from the map above, there is a lot of water in the area.
7. The rooms are nicely decorated in rustic style. The buildings are only 2 high and are spread over a large area surrounded by water. Two bottles of drinking water are available every day after cleaning.
